Elstree School Outdoor Learning Classroom

Outdoor learning classroom with featheredge roof and half featheredge walls. Guttering to harvest rainwater and benches to sit on. Bark base and a hole in the roof to allow for a fire pit.

The outdoor classroom from across the field, its hexagonal shingle roof standing among mature trees.

Inside the classroom: benches running round the walls beneath open window gaps, under the exposed timber roof.

A corner of the interior, showing the bench seating, the boarded wall panels and the rafters overhead.

Close view of a bench, showing the planed timber seat, its supporting legs and the boarded wall behind.

Looking straight up into the roof, where the rafters radiate from a central point like the spokes of a wheel.
